March 2012
At the moment, there are nearly 3,000 Mumford & Sons fans following this blog via tumblr. This is not counting everyone who is following via twitter and Facebook. I am grateful for each and every one of you, just as I’m sure Ted, Winston, Ben, and Marcus would be honored to have you all as fans.
I know things have been slow around here lately, but you know it’s difficult to find new things to post when the boys aren’t on the road. Thanks for sticking around, and look for things to pick up starting this weekend when Mumford & Sons perform at Amnesty International’s Secret Policeman’s Ball in New York on Sunday, March 4th!
Cheers!

Hey, that’s exciting that you have the opportunity to go! Now that the concerts are less than a week away this might be a good way to generate some excitement (as if anyone would need help in that department). As a matter of fact, I might make that a new thing for Mumford & Sons Blog: as new concerts approach, l can make concert-specific posts for concert-goers to reblog as a sort of badge for their blogs. Thanks for the suggestion!
Look for the Nashville concert post later today!
From the Mumford & Sons Official Website:
As previously announced, the Railroad Revival Tour documentary the Big Easy Express will premiere at the closing night of this year’s SXSW Film Festival in Texas on 17th March. We can also now announce some more details surrounding the event, including information on how to get hold of a limited number of tickets…
Firstly, the details: In attendance at the screening, which will begin at the Paramount at 4pm, will be the members of Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros and Old Crow Medicine, as well as the director Emmett Malloy and producers Tim Lynch, Mike Luba and Bryan Ling. All of the above will participate in a Q&A before an exclusive acoustic set gets underway.
Secondly, the tickets: This event is open to SXSW Film, Music, Gold and Platinum Badges, SXSW Film Passes, and Music Wristbands. However, if you don’t have one of these, a limited number of advance single tickets are available for $12 via the Paramount website, and as capacity allows, day-of-show single tickets may be purchased for $10 at the Paramount Theatre box office approximately 15 minutes prior to the screening.
Find out more details about the timings and tickets over on the SXSW website.
Hope to see as many of you there as possible! It should be a great night.

We’re pleased to announce two very special musical performances, in conjunction with films premiering at SXSW 2012.
At the Closing Night world premiere of BIG EASY EXPRESS, members of Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, and Old Crow Medicine Show will join director Emmett Malloy and producers Tim Lynch, Mike Luba and Bryan Ling for a Q&A, following which they will perform an exclusive acoustic set. EDIT - Single tickets to the event have already sold out. If you’re still interested in going, remember that there will be $10 tickets available at the venue box office (as capacity allows) 15 minutes prior to the screening.
Truly, I don’t think you should worry. They’re very good about getting tickets out with ample time before the concerts. Also, I didn’t realize you’d be coming from so far away; I figured you’d be driving in from maybe St. Louis or only a few hours away from Nashville. Don’t worry. You’ll get your tickets in time to travel and you’ll have the absolute time of your life on Tuesday night!
I have not yet received anything regarding the tickets I purchased for the dates in Nashville, but I’m not concerned at this time. I’ve purchased Mumford & Sons tickets through Artist Arena before and there were no complications at all. Wait until Thursday before you call; that way, if they inadvertently didn’t send your tickets they would have ample time to take care of the problem by the end of business on Friday, meaning you’d certainly have them by whichever concert you’re going to next week.
However, I wouldn’t be surprised if you hear from them between now and then, so you needn’t be worried! Have a fantastic time at the concert, and don’t forget to submit your photos, videos, and concert experience stories to Mumford & Sons Blog so that I can share them with all my followers! Cheers!

Other confirmed acts include Florence & the Machine, Noah and the Whale, Two Door Cinema Club, The Kooks, Incubus, and many more!
She has won the free ticket to see Mumford & Sons perform at The Ryman in Nashville on March 8th! Congratulations!
Mumford & Sons Blog and Mumford & Sons (Live) want to thank everyone who entered the contest. We wish that we had more tickets to give away this time, but perhaps in the future we will have other opportunities to give away free M&S tickets to deserving fans like all of you. Keep following our blogs to get updates about future contests and giveaways.
Thank you all, and congratulations again to meemsyeems!
If you check the contest rules, it says that the winner will be announced by tomorrow! But perhaps I might just announce the winner tonight…

Hi! I do happen to have another link to that. Click here to watch “Windawgg’s Worldwide Winblog” in all its hilarious glory!
Thanks for the question, and please let me know if I can help with anything else!
Hello! I have many downloads available, but not all of the EPs. I did have The Cave EP posted for download but had to remove it because of a copyright claim. I take copyright and ownership very seriously, so I will most likely not post any of the other M&S EPs for download. The only EP still available on M&S Blog is The Wedding Band’s The First Dance.
With that said, why don’t you click here and explore the many different downloads I do have on Mumford & Sons Blog? There are close to 20 collections/live concerts and nearly 300 individual tracks available. You can also search for specific song posts and downloads by clicking here. Enjoy and please let me know if I can help with anything else!
From the Mumford & Sons Official Website:

Mumford & Sons are extremely honoured to have been invited to perform as guests at The Levon Helm Band’s Midnight Ramble at Levon’s Studios in Woodstock, NY on 10th March. Tickets are priced at $150 and are on sale now via the Levon Helm website.
These Midnight Rambles are somethin’ pretty special. Guests at previous ones have included Jackson Browne, Donald Fagan and Emmylou Harris… need we continue! And they’ve tended to average about 4 hours in length. Read a bit more about what to expect from this extremely limited capacity show over here.

Editor’s Note: Tickets for The Midnight Ramble have already sold out.
Yes, you would have bought tickets on the Levon helm website. But a quick look shows that it is already sold out!
I apologize for not answering sooner, but the server is down at my office (where I swear I actually work and don’t spend the entire day on tumblr!) and I am answering this on my iPhone. Once I have Internet again I will try to locate more information for you.

Mumford & Sons, the breakout band that garnered numerous Grammy nominations this year, will perform at Levon Helm’s Midnight Ramble house concert in Woodstock March 10.
Mumford & Sons have played a critical role in the recent surge in interest in acoustic, roots-based, Americana music, the genre of song that Helm helped craft decades ago as a member of The Band. Mumford & Sons in 2011 performed with Bob Dylan at the Grammy Awards.
On March 31, Los Lobos, the Los Angeles-based, Mexican-American rock ensemble, will perform at the Midnight Ramble, which is held at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock.
The Levon Helm Band, featuring the former drummer, mandolin player and vocalist for The Band, will headline each Ramble. Helm on Feb. 12 won his third consecutive Grammy, for Best Americana Album, for “Ramble At The Ryman.”
Tickets for both shows go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday [February 22, 2012]. Visit www.levonhelm.com for ticket prices and more information.

Hello! There are a few ways you can go about this. Firstly, you could simply send me your email address in a message like this, but “fudge” the address in some way, such as: fakename(at)email(dot)com. Then I could email you and you could send the files to me.
The more direct way to get the files to me would be to use the Submit page, to which you can find a link directly below the “Questions and Requests” button on the sidebar of Mumford & Sons Blog. On the Submit page, you can send links, email addresses, upload images and more!
If you have multiple files to submit, however, it might be easier to simply send me your email address because tumblr only allows for one photo to be submitted at a time. Either way, I can’t wait to hear from you!
