Winston Marshall of Mumford & Sons tells the story of going into Grimey’s in Nashville where he received the best compliment he’s ever gotten, and then he thanks the M&S fans for being “awesome” on March 8, 2012.
I am so glad someone recorded this! Right after, Marcus said that this was the first time Winston had ever said something on stage that wasn’t sarcastic or a joke. So, naturally, Winston played into that as though perhaps he was kidding, even though he certainly wasn’t!
