Sorry, but did anyone know that the boys were playing in the U.S. for the past two months?
Hello! I think that article is a bit misleading. The band played a secret gig at The Basement in Nashville after the last of their three shows at The Ryman on March 8th. After that, they returned to the studio in the UK and didn’t get back out on the road until late May. They did a short UK tour, followed by a festival tour across part of Europe that concluded just two weeks ago.
I apologize for any confusion brought on by that article. The only important thing is that the band’s new single will be out on August 7th!

Remember that one time Mumford & Sons, Jerry Douglas, Dawes, and Old Crow Medicine Show plus crowd sang Wagon Wheel on March 8, 2012 at The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee? Yea, it’s still pretty awesome.

Oh hey, remember that one time that we saw these crazy kids in Nashville with Jerry Douglas and they covered The Boxer? I have to say, it's pretty nifty that we will have seen them cover this live and get to hear it on the album.
Nifty, indeed! Shall we revisit?
And here’s a special preview of the studio version of “The Boxer” with Mumford & Sons and Paul Simon on Jerry’s upcoming album, Traveler. If you have not yet heard this, I implore you to listen right now!

Do you perhaps have a link to the mp3 file of "The Boxer"?
Just so you know, I am answering only this one message, but I did receive several requests for a download link for that version of the song!
No, I’m sorry to say I don’t have one. Seeing as the song has not yet been released, I cannot provide an illegal download link. I take copyright very seriously here on Mumford & Sons Blog and, though I am happy to know that you like the song enough to want it in your library, I can’t break the law to put it there.
Perhaps a viable alternative might be a live recording of “The Boxer” that Mumford & Sons performed at The Ryman in Nashville on March 8th. Jerry Douglas joined the boys onstage and it was quite a fantastic performance. Click here to watch the video and click here to download an optimized mp3 of that performance. I hope this will tide you over until Jerry’s album is released on June 26th, when you can finally purchase the studio version!

Mumford & Sons perform “Lovers’ Eyes” at The Ryman in Nashville on March 8th, 2012. At the very start of this video is the end of the “Ross is a big knob” banter I mentioned in my review of this concert. Slightly profane, but hilarious nonetheless.

Mumford & Sons give an intense performance of “Thistle and Weeds” at The Ryman in Nashville on March 8, 2012. This video also includes the hilarious exchange I mentioned in my review of this show regarding the pronunciation of Dawes vs. doors.

Mumford & Sons on stage with Old Crow performing Wagon Wheel at the Ryman in Nashville, TN last month.
Can anyone make out what Marcus says to the guy in the crowd.
“Listen, sweet cheeks.”

Mumford and Sons doing what they do best during Dustbowl Dance- Going fucking insane. They’re so damn cool.
Idk why it’s so stretched out, the video isn’t bad at all though. Looks pretty normal…weirddd.
Sharing this because it’s the only video I’ve found of the band performing “Dust Bowl Dance” on March 8th at The Ryman, and you can see Marcus’ drumstick fly into the front row where it hit some guy in the face, bounced off of him, and hit the girl next to him. Thank you for uploading!

Did you miss the chance to see Mumford & Sons at The Ryman in Nashville?
Well, this 18-minute video from March 8th might help give you a taste of what it was like to be there. It includes performances by Dawes, snippets of most of Mumford & Sons’ songs, and the amazing collaboration on “Wagon Wheel” by M&S, Dawes, Jerry Douglas, and Old Crow Medicine Show.
The video can’t be embedded outside of Vimeo, but that shouldn’t stop you from enjoying it!
