Mumford & Sons will release first single from 'Babel' on August 7th

From KROQ.com:
Mumford & Sons have just announced that the first single from the forthcoming album, Babel, will be released the afternoon of August 7th, assuming the band is able to keep it under lock and key ’til then.
The band says of the album, “At first, we peeled ourselves off the road quite reluctantly. We love playing live, obviously, but it had also become an important part ofour creative process, we had been writing and rehearsing in soundchecks, and sort of road-testing new songs on our very gracious audiences. But then we fell in love with recording again.”
Over the past two months, Mumford & Sons have been spotted road-testing their material throughout the Eastern U.S. at incredibly small off-the-beaten-path bars and clubs. “I heard Mumford was playing a bar outside Nashville and I just happened to be in the city so I hopped in a taxi,” recounts KROQ-FM’s Gene Sandbloom. “I found myself on the edge of town at a place called The Basement with a few dozen people.”
“We feel that this record is a natural progression that we’re proud of, and we cannot wait to take it out on the road,” says Mumford in a statement.
The band has not yet released which of the following twelve tracks will be the have the honor of being the first single.
