do you know where I can buy The Wedding Band on Vinyl?
Hello! Yes and no…. The Wedding Band originally released a limited edition 10” Vinyl edition of their EP Volume I/The First Dance in October 2010. The EP was originally offered as a limited edition to the first 100 fans who bought tickets to a string of 2010 UK shows and no more copies are being made.
You cannot buy the album on the M&S Webstore or anywhere else for that matter. Your best bet is to search on websites like eBay, eBid, and Discogs, and to search often. Any time a copy appears it typically sells almost immediately and, considering how rare the album is, for quite a bit of money.
With that said, there is currently a new/mint copy of The First Dance for sale on eBay right here and, as a matter of recommendation, I personally bought a copy of this album from that particular seller (who told me he had two copies—now only one!). Don’t think you have to pay the list price because he is kind and willing to negotiate, especially if you pay with PayPal. The only drawback is how long it takes to ship if you’re not in the UK!
