TCA NEWS:

SHOWTIME will premiere captivating new original documentary LOST SONGS: THE BASEMENT TAPES CONTINUED on Friday, November 21st at 9:00 p.m. Produced by Oscar winner T Bone Burnett and Sam Jones and directed by Jones, the documentary chronicles the recording of new music from long-lost lyrics penned by legendary songwriter Bob Dylan.

LOST SONGS: THE BASEMENT TAPES CONTINUED is an exclusive and intimate look at five of today’s most acclaimed artists - Elvis Costello, Rhiannon Giddens (Carolina Chocolate Drops), Taylor Goldsmith (Dawes), Jim James (My Morning Jacket) and Marcus Mumford (Mumford & Sons) – as they create music for two-dozen recently discovered lyrics written by Bob Dylan.

It’s a huge thing, it’s a massive thing and personally it does still feel like quite an accident, but a massive honour to be in this band. We don’t think we’re the greatest band ever and we don’t think that we’re the only band anyone should listen to, because we love too many other bands to say that. But we are proud of what we do and love what we do, and personally I just love it. I really love it, can’t get enough of it.

Q joined the band backstage at one of their biggest gigs ever as they headlined the Olympic Park last month and spoke to the group about their rise, meeting the likes of Barack Obama and Bob Dylan, surviving blood clots on the brain and the band’s future.
Plus for this month, there is a special subscribers only Mumfords cover which you can take a look at now too…
