I think I honesty had one of the best evenings of my life tonight.
I arrived at King Charles early and was one of the first there, he came out the front and I got to finally have a photo taken with him after 3 attempts!
I then went on to have an incredible time at the gig, Giovanna Marshall is absolutely beautiful and as are We Were Evergreen and obviously the King himself.
I walked out of the venue and was sticking around for a bit to see if King Charles could sign my ticket and spotted WINSTON MARSHALL. I went up behind him and kept saying Winston and Winnie but I have a quite voice so he didn’t hear me. I ended up tapping him on the shoulder and asking for a photograph. He shook my hand and said “hello, I’m Winston, what’s your name?”, I then told him my name and said that I am a big fan of his and the rest of the band and he said it means a lot and put his arm around me and then posed for the photograph. He was so lovely and a gentlemen. Best end to a perfect day.

Do you know where I can download songs by Captain Kick and the Cowboy Ramblers?
Hello there! I have just updated the download link on my original post, so you should now be able to download all six tracks from there. Any previous reblogs will no longer work.
Some of you may be asking, “Who are Captain Kick and the Cowboy Ramblers, and why are they relevant to Mumford & Sons Blog?” Well, CKatCR was the band Mumford & Sons’ banjoist Winston Marshall was in prior to Mumford & Sons. Some other CKatCR members you may recognize are Noah and the Whale’s Tom Hobden and Charlie Fink, King Charles, and Harry Cargill, formerly of Matthew and the Atlas, who played for Mumford & Sons during their 2012 European summer festival tour while Marcus Mumford’s hand was broken.
Here’s a photo of CKatCR at their first ever gig, courtesy of the band’s myspace page:
That is Winston Marshall in the middle.
Thank you for the question!

Hiya! Love the blog, can't that you enough for all you've done for your fellow fans. A while back I read a fan experience that mentioned Benji knocking over the organ and nearly hitting said fan. Would you know anything about how I can find that text?
Hey there! It’s my pleasure.
If you’re talking about this incident:
…I do know how you can find that text and the photos that accompany it. I linked to it here on Mumford & Sons Blog, but the original text was written by growingbackwardswithtime about the Mumford & Sons concert at the Buckhead Theatre in Atlanta on November 7, 2010. You can read her account and see all her pictures here. Enjoy, and please do not repost this or any of her other photos without credit. Thank you!

King Charles Announces Release of New Single "The Brightest Lights"

King Charles announces new single ‘The Brightest Lights’ to be released on 19th July 2012, taken from debut album LoveBlood released this week. LoveBlood has entered the UK mid-week charts at Number 19.
‘The Brightest Lights’ features every member of Mumford & Sons who add their joyous harmonies to what will surely become a much loved festival favourite.
“I’m very pleased to be releasing my single about the brightest lights. It features my old friends Mumford & Sons who we invited over for a country shred-off at the Mi7 studios. We all started with a shared love for country music and this is the most country track on the whole album. Long live the King!”

Oh wow your blog is amazing! I am literally so impressed. The Winston section is my fave bit. Have you ever listened to King Charles? You probably have! I just thought that you would like him and it would be a shame if you'd never listened to him. Thanks for the lovely blog.
Hello there, and thank you so much! I’ve tried to make the blog as functional and useful as possible, and am always taking suggestions if you (or any of the rest of my followers) have any.
I have listened to King Charles and his music is brilliant, but some of my other followers may not have. I’ve actually posted a few of his collaborations with Mumford & Sons on this blog, and you can find some of those posts here. For anyone who is interested, check out King Charles’ website here.
Thanks for the question, and I’m so glad to know that you enjoy my blog (and the Winston section :).

Really good for just being overcome with love.
This is so awesome!
Mumford and Sons, Cadillac Sky, Adam Stockdale (Albatross), King Charles, Sarah Jarosz, and pretty much every other awesome musician ever, all onstage covering “Go to Sleep” by The Avett Brothers. You must stop everything you’re doing and watch this immediately.
Edit - Someone please tell me what happened to Ross Holmes and Ben Lovett at the end of this video. Hilarious.
