Do you know where I can find a copy of the Mumford & Sons EP? I have totally fallen in love with a few of those first few songs & want to have a hard copy. Thanks! xoxo
Hello! Since so few copies were made, you can only find them these days on places like eBay. As it happens, one is currently for sale on eBay right here.
Sometimes fans post on the Mumford & Sons Official Forum about selling their copies of the original EPs, but you have to keep a close eye on those postings because, as I said, so few copies were made that they are in high demand. Good luck!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the three EPs Mumford & Sons released prior to Sigh No More, click through to listen and learn more…
- Lend Me Your Eyes (2008)
- Love Your Ground (2008)
- The Cave and the Open Sea (2009)
Please note that because these EPs are copyrighted, M&S Blog cannot post them as downloads, but you can stream all the tracks by clicking through. Enjoy!

Throwback Thursdays: “Hold On To What You Believe”

This video was recorded in Dublin, Ireland in late 2008, and it seems to be the only video available of this early Mumford & Sons song being performed live.
Click here to listen to the track as it was first released in 2008 on the band’s second EP, Love Your Ground.

So please answer if you can: did the boys really all get each other mandolins as a Christmas present or am I just an idiot not understanding a joke?
Hello! Firstly, you are certainly not an idiot. An article was recently published on The Onion, a satirical media outlet, that reported all the members of Mumford & Sons bought each other mandolins for Christmas:
The article, having been published on a satirical website, is only intended for entertainment purposes and is not, in fact, true. It is only meant to be funny.
It should also be noted that Love Your Ground was actually Mumford & Sons’ second EP. This was the band’s debut EP. #factchecking
Thank you for the question, and I hope this clears up any confusion!
