Is there a way to download the cover of The Boxer with the boys, Paul Simon and Jerry Douglas?
Hello! I actually can’t give the download out because the album is not released yet, and I’d rather not break the law. I did make an mp3 download from my personal video of them performing it live at the Ryman, but the day after I posted it Mediafire suspended my account for copyright infringement (even though it was my personal property, but whatever; I’m not bitter), so I lost ALL of the downloads on M&S Blog. I’m working on rebuilding the collection on a new Mediafire account but, until then, none of my downloads work.
Anyway, I apologize that I cannot give out the download for “The Boxer.” My only suggestion is that you research a browser extension called TumTaster, as it might help you find what you’re looking for. If you go that route, though, please remember to buy the album—or at least the song—once it’s released in June.

Oh hey, remember that one time that we saw these crazy kids in Nashville with Jerry Douglas and they covered The Boxer? I have to say, it's pretty nifty that we will have seen them cover this live and get to hear it on the album.

Just so you know, I am answering only this one message, but I did receive several requests for a download link for that version of the song!
No, I’m sorry to say I don’t have one. Seeing as the song has not yet been released, I cannot provide an illegal download link. I take copyright very seriously here on Mumford & Sons Blog and, though I am happy to know that you like the song enough to want it in your library, I can’t break the law to put it there.
Perhaps a viable alternative might be a live recording of “The Boxer” that Mumford & Sons performed at The Ryman in Nashville on March 8th. Jerry Douglas joined the boys onstage and it was quite a fantastic performance. Click here to watch the video and click here to download an optimized mp3 of that performance. I hope this will tide you over until Jerry’s album is released on June 26th, when you can finally purchase the studio version!
