Hey. I've been trying to find out. If you pay close attention in The Wedding Band video for Thumpser. You see a toy goat. Well if you look at Marcus's mic it has a toy horse and Ted's bass has what looks like a toy pig. I was curious if there were more and what was the story behind them? Thanks:)

Hello, there. Thank you for the question.

Firstly, for those who haven’t yet seen The Wedding Band’s music video for “Thumper,” click here!

Marcus purchased the little toy animals at the Early Learning Centre during the band’s first UK tour and gave them to his bandmates as tour mascots; over time, the collection has included a donkey, Ben’s goat, a pig, an eagle, a mare, and a foal for Marcus, among others. They’ve said that some randomly disappear and reappear while they’re on tour, but you can always find some farm animals somewhere on the stage.  Check out this YouTube video from the band’s gig at The Warfield in San Francisco on October 20, 2010 to hear them discuss the anatomically incorrect toy farm animals and their main—cough, cough, ahem—“charity work.”

Again, thanks for the question!

do you have any lyric posts from Thumper by The Wedding Band? I know its not a mums song but there in it so just thought id ask.

Hello! I would definitely consider “Thumper” a Mumford & Sons song that they just happen to perform with friends. Anyway, I’m not quite sure if you’re asking for a post containing all the lyrics from “Thumper” or if you’re looking for a gif or image set that extracts a phrase or two in an artistic way. I can provide all the lyrics for you in this post, but there are none of the latter on Mumford & Sons Blog…yet (that’s a hint to all M&S fans to get your creative and artistic juices flowing!).

Here are the lyrics to “Thumper” by The Wedding Band:

If you love me the way you say you do
I know I could always be happy with you
I’m a believer
I’m no deceiver

You can roll around with me on the floor
When we’re done I won’t ask for more
You live your life through these open doors
And I don’t know who you are to me
And I don’t know what you want from me

So I’ll say oh if you love me the way you say you do
I know I could always be happy with you
I’m a believer
I’m no deceiver

You can leave your keys in the car
You can leave your love at the bar
And you don’t even have to go that far
To get all that you want from me
Well I don’t know who you are to me

But I’ll say oh if you love me the way you say you do
I know I could always be happy with you
I’m a believer
I’m no deceiver

I’m a believer
I’m no deceiver

Well I’m a believer
I’m no deceiver

I’ll say oh if you love me the way you say you do
I know I could always be happy with you
I’m a believer
I’m a believer oh!
I’m no deceiver

So now that you know the lyrics, why not click here and have a little hoedown? Enjoy!
